Club Purpose
To expand the building and flying of radio
controlled model airplanes in a safe and
responsible manner.
Information about the club
Tornado Alley Model Aviators is a
privately owned and operated club. Individuals interested in flying model
aircraft are encouraged to visit and join our flying community.
The
club has been in existence since 2002. and is chartered by the Academy
of Model Aeronautics (www.modelaircraft.org).
Our grass runway is 365x50 feet with plenty of
open flying space for models of all sizes.
For
interested newcomers and novice pilots we have several instructors
available, at no cost during the week and on weekends for those
individuals who want to get their wings.

Club Flying Site Location:
The flying site is located just south of the City
of Coffeyville, KS on Hiway 169 east on old Parker rd about 1/2 mile.
Club Meetings:
Tornado Alley Club meetings
are held on the last Thursday
of each month at 7:00 pm
at the Coffeyville, KS Aviation Museum.
Meetings
are open to the public.
The minutes
of our meetings posted on the Club Web Site. Topics include Club
Business (budget, contest coordination, flying field improvement),
model aircraft building hints, and guest speakers.
AMA Information:
ACADEMY OF MODEL AERONAUTICS (AMA) Is the governing body of Model Aviation.
It
supports and promotes our hobby through contests,
demonstrations of flying skills, education, adoption of school programs
and provides liability insurance for both Chartered Clubs and for its
Member RC Pilots. All individuals flying at the Tornado
Alley Site must be a current
AMA member and a member of the Tornado Alley Model Aviators or a guest
of a current club member.
