Bob showed up with his mower on the trailer and joined with David in a great mowing job.

The Bermuda donated and planted by David George is beginning to spread nicely as we begin to get a little sunshine.
As voted for in the March meeting the east/west runway has been abandoned and the safety fences removed.  Parts of the safety fence from there was used to extend the north/south runway.

Larry Benning cuts 4" PVC post to extend the spectator boundary fence and replace broken posts in the existing fence.

Bob and David set the first of 10  new posts. You can see by their heavy clothing in spite of their labors the extent of the biting winds and low morning temperatures.
Troy spent his time painting the main sign fence posts, tables and his car.  OOPs.  Tip of the day.  "Don't park your car down wind when Troy is painting".  As long as the wife doesn't know I was the one who did it no problem.

Troy put the final touches to our sign in preparation of our 6th Annual Buddy day.

Most of the workers ended the work days at the Cowboy Cafe in South Coffeyville patting themselves on the back for a job well done.
For those of you who were unable to attend the work day fun you missed a great day of getting together with friends and being part of improving our field. Sorry you missed it but look forward to seeing you at the May Work day.
