With spring right around the corner a
beautiful Sunday afternoon
resulted in a
good turn out at the field.

I have been requested to put out a newsletter for this month and will be happy to continue
in the following months if needed. I would like to start by thanking every one that attended our February Club
Meeting. The meeting was one of the friendliest and most productive meetings I have attended
in some time.
Our new officers are on the job and seem totally committed to building a bigger and better club.
AMA Requirements met
Secretary Treasure Ray Griswold has already gotten our Charter and Insurance forms filled
out and sent into AMA and will furnish the city with copies keeping us legal for yet another year as well as accounting for
the clubs assets to date.
Field Maintenance
Bob Meritt has accepted responsibility for our field maintenance once again.
Bob has been instrumental in improving and maintaining our field for many years and we need to show our appreciation by
helping him in anyway we can. If you can

find time to help out on the field contact Bob. He will need help with mowing
so give him a call at 251-5094 and get on the list. He will be posting mowing schedules in each months
newsletters. We do have 1 club mower for use by anyone interested in helping.
If you have your own mower and are willing to volunteer the club will reimburse the cost of fuel as decided in the
February meeting.
If you have a mower but no way to
transport it both Troy (251-1105) and Bob (251-5094) can loan you a trailer or haul your
mower for you.
Buddy day revived
President David Liming along with other members at the
meeting expressed their wishes to recruit new members by reviving our
traditional "Buddy Day" started by the founding members of which David
and Ray were both a part of back in 2002
Our annual Buddy Day is celebrated by
all the members by simply bringing a friend on our chosen day to freely share
our hobby with others who might find it interesting in hopes of recruiting more
members into our group.
We don't make much of a fuss about the event but
simply invite our friends to join us. We will have instructors and trainer planes on
hand for introductory flights to any of our new buddies that are interested in
trying their hand and flying one of our trainers. This is an un-advertised in-club activity not an

just got
her own plane.
Larry invited Stan Davenport to come
out and enjoy a day at the
